With reference to the subject mentioned above, I am directed to inform you that UGC has issued a Public notice dated 19.03.2024 regarding Precautions to be taken by the students before enrolling in Programmes offered under Open & Distance Learning (ODL) and/or Online Learning mode. Copy of the Public Notice is attached herewith for your reference.

The above public notice intends to inform all stakeholders to confirm the details regarding recognition status of HEIs on UGC-DEB website, check the details on the HEIs’ website, prohibition of programmes in certain disciplines (including their allied domains), ensuring all academic activities are conducted within Territorial Jurisdiction for ODL Programmes and prohibition of franchising arrangement before enrolling in ODL and Online programmes. 

In this regard, you are requested to kindly upload the above public notice on HEI’s website for the information of stakeholders. The URL of the webpage, where the Public notice has been uploaded, may be intimated to this office through email at vsyadav.ugc@nic.in.
