FAQs Related to Examination Matters

From time to time the university receives various queries from the students concerning their results, marksheets, re-evaluation, re-totaling, issuance of migration, provisional, degree , Medium of instruction and other miscellaneous certificates The answers are given below which may be updated from time to time in case of any changes in future.

Q---Why my admit card has not been released?

A--- Your admit card is not released due to any of the following reasons:

1. Pending tuition fee

2. Not  permitted to appear due to disciplinary action

3. Not fulfilled required attendance percentage

Q---Due to some medical problem I am not able to use my hand for writing. Please advice. 

A---The university provides a suitable scribe to write your paper/s. You are required to write an application to your Dean with all the supporting documents.

Q--Why is my result withheld and what should I do?

A—Your result is withheld due to any of the following reasons:

• Non payment of the semester / examination fees

• May have been involved in Malpractice during the examination

Q---What is the procedure of re-evaluation of answer book?

A---The student may apply for re-evaluation of his/her answer book by submitting a written application in the prescribed form along with the necessary fee of Rs.2000/- per paper, within one week after declaration of result, duly forwarded by his/her Dean or HoD.. The same procedure is applicable for backlog papers as well. This is Not applicable to MBBS students

Q--- Is there a provision of re-totaling?

A--- In case of MBBS students only re-totaling of marks is allowed within one week of declaration of results by paying the prescribed fee of Rs.2000/- per paper. Application should be forwarded to the concerned Dean for taking action as per MCI norms.

Q--- Is there any provision of showing the answer books to the students?

A--- Upon written request, the answer books of students can be shown to them within one week afterdeclaration of its result. For this, a fee of Rs.2000/- per paper will have to be paid in advance. Students will also be allowed to compare his /her marks with the highest scorer for which a fee of Rs.4000/- will have to be paid.

 

Q---Is there any Grievance Redressal Committee in the university?

A---The university has a Grievance Redressal Committee to consider the grievances of examinationrelated matters. The student is required to approach his/her Dean with a written application stating his/her grievance.

Q---What are the certificates / services provided by the Examination Section?

A---The following certificates are issued by the Examination Section to the students:

• Marks sheet

• Provisional Certificate

• Migration Certificate

• Degree/ Diploma / Certificate

• Transcripts

• Duplicate Mark sheet

• Duplicate Provisional Certificate

• Duplicate Migration Certificate

• Duplicate Degree/ Diploma / Certificate

• Gold Medal Certificate

• Medium of instruction Certificate

• Any other certificate on the student's request

Q---What is the procedure of applying for degree, migration and provisional certificates?

A---The student is required to formally apply for Degree, Provisional & Migration certificates in theprescribed form duly forwarded by his/her Dean.. The fully filled form should be accompanied with thescanned copy of class X certificate, receipt of the prescribed fees, and all the marksheets of his/her program. The required fee for Provisional & Migration certificates is Rs.500/- each and for degree is Rs.5000/- in case of urgent requirement, otherwise the degree fee at the time of convocation is Rs.1500/-.

Once the payment is done, kindly attach the receipt of the same along with the applicationThe same process is applicable for Medium of Instruction and other such miscellaneouscertificates by paying Rs.500/- each for individual certificates.

Q---What is the procedure for verification of the educational documents?

A---The third party that requests for verification of the educational documents of the student shouldprovide all the documents of the student along with the prescribed fee of Rs.2000/- to the ExaminationSection.

Q---What is the procedure for transcript?

A---The student requires to apply for transcripts in the prescribed format  which should be accompaniedwith the marksheets for which transcript is to be prepared.The university charges Rs.500/- per copy for the transcript. If the course has six semesters itwill be 500x6=3000. For foreigners the university charges Rs.1000/- per copy for the transcript. Ifthe course has six semesters it will be 1000x6= 6000/-.

Q--- When can I get my Degree certificate?

A--- At the time of the convocation by paying Rs.1500/-. Degree can also be obtained before theconvocation on urgent basis by paying Rs.5000/-. Reason  to apply for urgent degree must be mentioned alongwith the supporting documents

Q---How can I get a duplicate mark sheet/ Provisional/ Migration certificate?

A--- The student is required to write an application to the Controller of Examinations duly forwarded bythe Dean of his/her school. The application should contain original copy of the FIR and a prescribed fee receipt of Rs.500/- per page.

Q--- I have lost my original Degree/ Diploma / Certificate. How can I get a duplicate Degree / Diploma?

 A---The student is required to apply for the duplicate Degree/ Diploma Certificate through his/ her Dean to the Examination Section along with the following documents:

• Original copy of the FIR

• An affidavit signed and certified by a First Class Magistrate (not a Notary Advocate)

• Public Notice / Information published in a National Newspaper declaring that the original Degree or Diploma has been lost or destroyed (submit defaced/ remaining portion of the Degree or Diploma, if possible). He /she has to wait for three months, thereafter apply for the said document along with the cutting of the newspaper in original showing the Public Notice/ Information.

• Prescribed fee of Rs.3000/- for duplicate degree / Rs.2000/- for duplicate diploma/ certificate

Q---Does the university provide scholarship to the students on the grounds of merit/ poor financialcondition?

A---Yes. The student may contact the Dean, Student's Welfare (DSW) office to seek further information.
