Industry-Academia Partnership Cell
The Industry-Academia Partnership Cell is developed under the leadership of Honourable Chancellor and Honourable Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard to help each student in exploring placement opportunities by inviting various companies for campus recruitment of students. It gives immense pleasure to invite together industry leaders and academic partners on one single platform to address the spinning dynamics, to describe the growing interdependence of the world. It is an endeavour to create a platform for talent and skill exchange. Further the vision is of making the student community ready for the future challenges. The systematic interaction with the industry and continuous career counselling of the final year and pre-final year students of different Schools of the University is done on regular basis. The University is keen to be associated with well-known companies for research work, projects, training, internship and recruitment. The enthusiasm grows towards showcasing budding aspirants to the industry further gaining faith to be mutually beneficial. The hand holding not only helps the students in getting ‘dream’ jobs but also assists the visiting companies in identifying the ‘right’ candidate for the organization.

IAPC Committee
The placement related activities, at Industry-Academia Partnership Cell, are carried out by the IAPC committee. The committee is composed under the leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, with core team of senior faculties, Industry representative, faculties and student coordinators from all the schools, who are in their pre-final & final year.
Registration
Students who are in their final year and interested in availing placement support from IAPC have to register themselves for placement. The students have to register their demographic and academic details through placement form to participate in the drives.
Eligibility
Students who are fail to clear the academic exams & other formalities at the end of the course, shall be removed from the placement process and will not be eligible for campus placement activities. Any major disciplinary actions will also likely to terminate the student from campus placement activities. The students who are placed in one company are allowed for next opportunity as per the placement policy of the cell.
Process
The process of each recruiting organisation is as per their defined policies. Companies have different rounds of process starting from Pre-Placement talk followed by a written test, Group Discussion (may or may not), rounds of Technical and HR interviews of eligible and shortlisted students. The drives can be conducted via on-campus or off- campus or an online recruitment process.
Once an organization shows interest for recruitment from the University the students are asked to register their interest for the job. An email informing about the job opening and its profile will be shared with the related IAPC committee members and student coordinators. The interested students will register and give consent to participate. Only the interested students are required to register as the entire process is not mandatory. The registered and eligible students for a particular job profile will be considered for the job opening and their names and CVs will be shared with the company. It will be the responsibility of the student to keep his/her resumes updated. Once the names of the students are submitted, students are not allowed to withdraw from the recruitment process. After the process is over, result is announced and shortlisted students will undergo background verification by the company. If all the eligibility and background verification is satisfactory, the student is finally offered.
