Jamia Hamdard's history of international study and engagement is reflected in the University's mission to prepare students to navigate and lead in an increasingly connected world. The interdisciplinary nature of the University's academic programming, its international partnerships and the diverse backgrounds of its students, faculty and alumni all contribute to this global character. Jamia Hamdard is proud of its culture and traditions. University is a home for around 250 students from about 31 countries across the globe, making it a truly International University. Here the student is networked with a number of fellow students and a large community of International Alumni, which help the student to grow in different spheres of academic, research, personal and professional life providing a true cross cultural environment of learning in a very safe and conducive environment. Foreign Students' Advisor Office is a hub of activities of foreign nationality students. It provides guidelines related to admission, issue of offer letters for provisional admissions, bonafide certificates, stay, guidance to register with Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO), medical fitness examination, maintaining lawful status, extension of stay, transfer of schools/programs, addressing any other academic or administrative problems of foreign students etc. It also provides assistance to international students, scholars and visiting faculty members with regard to formal orientation of the campus, advice and counsel for educational, social and personal problems and dissemination of important and timely information through notices. For matters concerning foreign students educational, tuition fee, signing of MOU's and other related academic and administrative matters, the office maintains communication with various embassies, University Grants Commission (UGC), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Various governing Councils, Ed.CIL and concerned offices of Ministries of External Affairs and Home Affairs, Govt. of India. Each year during the admission time, certain existing students/ faculty members from various departments/schools are identified, who provide voluntary service of counseling to new candidates seeking admission at Jamia Hamdard. Periodic meetings of foreign students are organized at Convention Centre, Jamia Hamdard with the officers of the respective Embassies to discuss various issues related to academics/hostels/fee and other relevant issues at Jamia Hamdard. Foreign Students' Advisor in consultation with various Heads of Department/s has identified certain faculty members (Academic Mentors) who are made responsible for co-ordination with foreign students in their respective Schools/Departments to address day to day problems/issues encountered by the foreign students. The office also organizes various Literary & Cultural programs for the foreign students of Jamia Hamdard.  

The Information Bulletin & Prospectus 2022-23 along with Online Application Form for Foreign Nationals/NRI sponsored be checked on the Jamia Hamdard website www.jamiahamdard.edu. The candidate preferably has to apply/register on the prescribed form ONLINE.

VISA: Rules framed by University Grants Commission (UGC) and notified in its website www.ugc.ac.in will be followed for deciding the eligibility and admission of International Students to various courses offered at Jamia Hamdard. As per guidelines, students holding passport issued by foreign countries and people of Indian origin who have acquired the nationality of foreign countries are included as foreign students. All the International Students will require valid VISA/Permission from Govt. of India for enrollment in any program of study at Jamia Hamdard.
