Department of Amraz-e-Jild wa Tazeeniyat
The department of Amraz-e-Jild waTazeeniyat, is a clinical department involved in teaching both at undergraduate and post graduate level. The department is actively involved in clinical research to create evidence on scientific basis for different treatment regimens in different skin conditions. The Amraz-e-Jild waTazeeniyat has been given great emphasis by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India because of enriched classical literature in AmrazeJild (Skin Disorders) along with Tazeeniyat (Cosmetology). AYUSH Ministry, Government of India has identified Unani Dermatology as an area of strength in Unani System of Medicine.
Vision
The Department endeavours to provide quality education at both undergraduate and Post-graduate levels and undertakes to conduct evidence-based research in Unani Medicine particularly related to the skin diseases and cosmetics and principally promote use and practice of Unani-Tibb by encompassing a holistic and integrative approach to healthcare and health education to meet societal education and healthcare needs of underprivileged Indian communities in particular.
