Invites you to the National Conference on Current Trends in Translational Medicine and Pharmacovigilance: Stress on Skill Development to be held on 5-6 October, 2018 In the Convention Centre, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi 110062

“Translational medicine has become a rapidly evolving and growing discipline in biomedical research. The application of this science is expediting the discovery of new treatments and diagnostic tools. Its bench to bedside approach is impacting the whole process of drug discovery, development and use. It not only combines the concept of public health with biomedical research but also aims to improve the individual health. As this science is multi-disciplinary and requires a highly collaborative approach, it is important to continue to discuss and take opinion of all relevant stakeholders for furthering this science.

Pharmacovigilance forms the cornerstone of the patient safety. This science is rapidly evolving and is finding new ways to include new sources of safety information, including social media, massively linked databases, and mobile and wearable wellness applications and sensors. Different countries are at different level of evolution of their pharmacovigilance programs. The science which is in its yesteryears was limited to developed countries and pharmaceutical markets, over the past few years, has progressed with a focussed approach of the governments to rest of the world countries. This conference aims to acquit the participants on the basic tenets of pharmacovigilance including various aspects of assessment and monitoring of adverse reactions.

With an august panel of experts from diverse background, the conference will discuss the progress on various perspectives of translational medicine and pharmacovigilance, to deliberate on the implications and way forward and to derive meaningful and attainable conclusions.

Abstracts are invited for the conference. Best posters will be awarded.
