Hostel Facilities

HOSTELS

University has following six hostels for boys and girls :

i) New girls hostel for UG and PG students

ii) Rufaida School of Nursing Hostel for   nursing students.

iii) Anne Marie Schimmel hostel for PG girls

iv) Al-biruni hostel for UG boys

v) Ibne-sina hostel for PG boys

vi) Jawaharlal Nehru Hostel for International students

In view of limited hostel accommodations, the candidates should note that their admission to university does not guarantee allotment of hostel accommodation and outstation boys are likely to get hostel accommodation only in the second or third year of their study depending on the programme of study to which they are admitted to. Girl students from outside of Delhi are more likely to get hostel accommodation in the first year itself, subject to availability of seat in the hostel. Annual hostel charges are payable in advance at the time of allotment. It will be incumbent upon the student admitted to the hostel to join the mess and pay mess fee for three months in advance at the rates prescribed from time to time.  Mess fee may be revised at any time due to escalation in the prices of essential commodities. The students admitted to the hostel are entitled to stay in the hostel during the academic session only and are required to vacate the rooms during the summer vacations for maintenance work. Hostel allows will not be available to students of following programme. Students are also not allowed to installed air-conditioners or any other electric appliances requiring high energy consumption. 

Hostel accommodation will not be available to the students of the following programmes except the Nursing students depending upon the availability of space: 

¨       All Diploma Programmes (except DGNM)

¨       Bridge Course in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy

¨       B.Sc Optometric Practices (only girls may be considered based on availability of accommodation)

¨       Students whose parents/guardians are resident of Delhi, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad

It may also be noted that university does not have provision of accommodation for married students who intend to stay with their family. They have to make their own arrangements outside the campus.

Private accommodation around the university campus may be available on rent.
