Department of Management

 

1.            Professor (Management)            - Two  

 

Ph. D degree or a Fellowship of IIMs, ICA or ICWA with first class Master’s degree in Business Management/ Administration/ other relevant management related disciplines with 10 years experience in Teaching/ Industry/ Research out of which 5 years must be at the level of Reader and /or equivalent.

 

Note: Candidates from Industry/profession with first class Master’s degree in Business Management / Administration / other relevant management related disciplines and professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph. D degree and with 10 years experience of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior level comparable to that of Reader would also be eligible.

 

Preferred Specialization: Marketing Management/Strategic Management/ Financial Management/ Organizational Behavior


 

 

2.            Professor in Health, Hospital Management- One Post

 

(i)                 Ph.D. degree with first class Master’s degree in any branch of Health Management.

(ii)                Ten years experience in Teaching/ working in any Health Care Institute or Health Management & Research Organization out of which 5 years must be at the level of Reader and /or equivalent

(iii)              At least 6 publications in the form of Books/Papers/Articles.

 

3.         Associate Professor (Health/ Hospital/ Pharmaceutical Management)            - One

 

i.                     First Class Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Management and bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy OR Ph.D degree with first Class MBA degree and bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.

 

ii.                   Three years experience in Teaching/ working in any Pharmaceutical Company/Health Care Industry.

 

iii.                  At least 4 publications in the form of Books/Papers/Articles.

 

OR

i.                     First Class Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Management with Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy OR First Class MBA degree with Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.

ii.                   Five years experience in Teaching/ working in any Pharmaceutical Company. Such candidates will be required to obtain Ph.D degree within seven years from the date of appointment as Reader.

OR

i.                     Ph.D. degree with first class Master’s degree in any branch of Health Management/ Population Science /PGDHM/ M Phil programmes assessed by AIU and declared equivalent to MBA.

ii.                   Three years experience in Teaching/or working in any NGO, Research institute or health organization.

OR

i.                     First class degree at Master’s level in any branch of Health Management/Population Science/PGDHM/ M Phil programmes assessed by AIU and declared equivalent to MBA.

ii.                  Five years experience in Teaching/or working in any NGO, Research institute or health organization.  Such candidates will be required to obtain Ph.D. degree within a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as Reader.

 

Desirable specializations:

 

i.                     Public Health/Epidemiology/Health Economics/Population studies

ii.                   Pharmaceutical Marketing

iii.                  Intellectual Property Rights and WTO regime

iv.                 Health / Hospital Management

 

4.         Assistant Professor (Health, Hospital & Pharmaceutical Management)- Three Posts

         

First Class Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Management with bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.

OR

First Class MBA/ MPhil degree with bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.

OR

           

 

            First Class Master’s degree/ MPhil in Population Science/Health Management/Hospital Management.

                       

                        Desirable

 

Two years experience of teaching / working in a Healthcare/ Pharmaceutical company.

           

            Desirable specialization:

 

Pharmaceutical Marketing/Intellectual Property Rights and WTO regime/ Health Management/ Hospital Management/ Population Studies

 

5.            Assistant Professor (Management) -Two Posts

 

First class Master’s degree in Business Management/Administration/other relevant Management related disciplines/ PGDHM programs form institutes assessed by AIU and declared equivalent to MBA

 

Candidates having first class Master’s degree in engineering may also apply for position of Assistant Professor for IT and Quantitative Techniques discipline. 

 

            Preference will be given to the candidates having specialization in Financial Management/Information Technology/International Business/ Quantitative methods/ Economics.

 

            Desirable: Two years experience of teaching/working in industry/profession

 

            Note: For all the posts mentioned above, preference will be given to the candidates who have done two years fulltime Master Course.

                       

6.            Management Associate-            Two Posts

 

            MBA/ MBBS or equivalent degree/PGDBA (Graduation with diploma in HR/ Marketing/Computer from reputed institute.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

01.               The female candidates who wish to work on half-day basis on payment of 50% salary may also apply. The selected candidates may continue this option or withdraw it, whenever wish to work on 100% salary.

02.               Last date of submission the application is 17th June 2009. All candidates should make a brief presentation during interview about their core competence and vision 

03.               The number of vacancies indicated above may vary at the time of Selection Committee.

04.               The university reserves the right not to fill-up any of the vacancies if the circumstances so warrant and to call only short-listed candidates for test/ interview/seminars.

05.               The university reserves the right to consider the name of suitable candidates who may not have applied.

06.               Candidates called for interview will have to come to the place of interview at their own expenses and bring with them their original research papers, degrees and certificate etc. for verification.

07.               A person applying for more than one post should send a separate application for each post.

08.               The candidates who have already applied for any of the above positions earlier are required to apply afresh.

09.               Applications complete in all respects should reach in the Office of the Registrar, Establishment Section, Jamia Hamdard, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi – 110 062 by 17.06.2009 along with the following:

a)      Bio-data (highlighting personal details, academic records, teaching and research experience, detail of published papers indicating the impact factor of the journal, fellowships & awards)

b)      Attested copies of certificate & testimonials in support of qualification and experience etc.

c)      Persons already in job must apply through proper channel.

d)      Demand Draft of Rs. 500/-for the post of Professor, and Rs. 300/- for the post of Reader and Rs. 200 for rest of the positions drawn in favour of Jamia Hamdard payable at New Delhi.

e)      Five copies of duly typed Annexure- A (for teaching posts) available with the application form.

08.            Incomplete applications and those received after the closing date will not be             entertained.

09.        The university reserves the right to hold the written examination to short-list the candidates for interview.
