Department of Management Studies
Faculty of Management Studies and Information Technology

          This department is in existence for the last six years. It offers MBA course with specialization in Information Technology Management, Business Management, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Operations Management and Sectoral Management. The department has also introduced Ph.D programme. The department presently has five full time faculty members comprising one Professor and four Lecturers. The department invites visiting faculty having specialization in different fields from reputed institutions/industries.

Vacant Position

1.) Professor/Reader- Two posts
  • For Professor (From Academics)

  • Ph.D degree or a Fellowship of IIMs, ICA or ICWA with first class Maser’s degree in Business Management/Administration/ other relevant Management related disciplines/ Economics/ PGDM programmes assessed by AIU and declared equivalent to MBA

  • Ten years experience in Teaching/ Industry /Research out of which five years must be at the level of Reader and/or equivalent
Qualification & Experience for candidates from Industry & Profession

  • First Class Master’s Degree in Business Management/Administration/ other relevant management related discipline/ PGDM programmes assessed by AIU and declared equivalent to MBA with professional work which is significant and can be recognized at National /International level as equivalent to Ph.D degree

  • Ten years industrial/professional experience of which five years should be at a senior level comparable to that of a Reader

    Preferred Specializations:

    Marketing Management/Strategic Management/Human Resource Management/ MIS .

2.) For Reader (From Academics)

  • Ph.D degree or a Fellowship of IIMs, ICA or ICWA with first class Maser’s degree in Business Management/Administration/other relevant Management related disciplines/ Economics/ PGDM programmes assessed by AIU and declared equivalent to MBA

  • Three years experience in Teaching/ Industry /Research /Profession.
OR

  • First class Degree at Master’s level in Business Management/Administration/other relevant Management relate disciplines/ Economics/PGDM programmes assessed by AIU and declared equivalent to MBA.

  • Five years experience in Teaching/ Industry /Research /Profession. Such candidates will be required to obtain Ph.D degree or a fellowship of IIMs, ICA or ICWA within a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as Reader.
Qualification and Experience for Candidates from Industry & Profession
  • First Class Master’s Degree in Business Management/Administration/ other relevant management related discipline/ PGDM programmes assessed by AIU and declared equivalent to MBA with professional work which is significant and can be recognized at National /International level as equivalent to Ph.D degree.
  • Five years experience in industry/profession

    Preferred Specializations:

    Marketing Management/Strategic Management/Human Resource Management/ MIS.

3.) Lecturer- One post

First class Master’s degree in Business Management/Administration/other relevant Management related disciplines.
