Department of Health and Hospital Management

The Department of Health and Hospital Management, under the School of Management & Business Studies, Jamia Hamdard, offers three, AICTE-approved, full-time MBA programs in Health and Hospital Management, Pharmaceutical Management and Insurance Management, respectively. There are nine faculty members in the Department, who are well qualified and hold rich and diverse experience from industry and academia.

The Department grooms and trains the students with active exposure based on industry driven curriculum. The curriculum and methodology contains a well-balanced mix of contemporary concepts, internship projects and practical cases from the business world. It also includes a rigorous training in communication skills, personality development and other soft skills required to succeed in corporate life.

The Department’s industry collaboration happens through live projects, industry visits and professionals from the industry as visiting faculty for an entire course, as well as domain specific guest lectures. This is possible through our well-established Alumni base in various organizations of repute in Health, Hospital and Pharmaceutical domains.

The placement records of Department the preceding years is highly encouraging, both in numbers and in employer’s profile. For the past few years, the Department has been striving to raise the bar in terms of the quality of the students as well as the course curriculum to make it relevant to the needs of the rapidlychanging business environment.
