When the globe is shrinking, domestic markets fail to lure the aspirations of the entrepreneur, a befitting step is to introduce a programme which can train young managers in developing a global perspective towards business, thereby tapping the tremendous opportunity in different parts of the world. This would be highly specialised course meant for a select group of practicing managers who wish to acquire further degree as well as for fresh graduates.

Students Activities

MBA Curriculum aims at broadening the outlook, strengthening the skills of future managers and to develop the personality of the student. Here the pedagogy is different from other academic courses . It involves combination of the theoretical concept with practical application . This is achieved by discussing the latest developments in e management thinking and their applications in the Indian context through club activities , seminars, Guest lectures and Industrial tours.

Club Activities

The students are encouraged to overcome the limitations of classroom education by attending club activities twice a week The club activities provide a platform for honning the communication and presentation skills . During the club session , students make individual presentations on recent happenings in the areas of management .They also organize Biz-Quiz, Debates , Ad-mad shows etc. through which learning becomes a pleasant experience.

Guest Lectures

In order to have interaction with the corporate world, The MBA Programme incorporates guest lectures as part of it’s curriculum . Every week the students of the department invite a guest speaker from the industry to interact with the students.

Seminars

Every year students organize seminars on a subject of topical interest like – Emerging trends in Brand management , winning strategies for success ; Marketing strategies during recession etc.

Industrial Tours

The department organizes field studies , educational tours ,/ industrial tours , to various places all over India . During the tours , students visit different industries , organize workshops and quizzes.

Placements

Placement activities are co-ordinated by a placement cell headed by a Placement coordinator , comprising of selected student representatives and faculty members.
